Not a report...well, sort of.

I’m not even sure I saw this picture being taken, but as you can tell, I was just a little happy that I would soon be completing my most grueling climb of the day (Big Tom). I had that kind of confidence yesterday that said, “You’ve done this. You’ve been right here and you know this place. You’ve cried here before, been dehydrated, and wanted to quit—but not this time. This time, you’ll get through it better than ever!”


I' not sure why I returned to Quest for the Crest 50K this year, but I'm glad I did. This race kicks your butt. I wanted a PR, and to prove to myself that I've gotten better at mountain running. I finished 2nd female, again, and with a PR of about 19 minutes. Will I go back in 2019? Probably. Also, it will be good to get in some training at higher elevations again before heading to Utah (maybe) or running Bighorn 100 (again, maybe).
